Member of the month

A little later than anticipated but we are proud to announce that the Kirby’s Personal Training and Fitness, Member of the Month for February 2015 is:

I started at Kirby’s with the main goal of losing weight and improving my fitness. Having attempted gyms myself, I didn’t really know what exercises would benefit me and was unsure how to use the equipment.  I also suffer with bad hip pain following a card accident and most exercises I tried would cause me a lot of pain.  From day one of joining Kirby’s, Krissie made me feel at ease and it was obvious to me how passionate she is about her job and helping people. I have learned that weight is not important and have seen massive improvements in both fitness and lost three inches to date. Krissie has show me how to use the equipment properly and really built up my confidence. She has spent time correcting how my body uses the right muscles for each movement and as a result my hip pain has reduced dramatically, and I finally enjoy exercise.  I have also learnt heaps on nutrition from her and she has helped me to follow a heathy eating plan whereas before I would just follow a fad diet. My whole outlook on nutrition and exercise has completely changed for the better.  I look forward to every session and I see Krissie as a friend as well as a personal trainer.

Clare came to Kirby’s in December last year, and as soon as she started she fell foul to every cold bug known to man. Undeterred, Clare maintained good nutritional practices, even through Christmas and her birthday, worked hard in the gym when she’d recovered and has seen fantastic results having lost over 3 inches on her measurements and a fantastic 6.6% body fat loss.  Clare suffered with persistent pain in her hips and pelvis from a car accident four years ago. So with help of my good friends at Beaches Chiropratic, we are continuing to work to help get Clare back to being pain free, and at ease in the gym setting as well as the benefits that will bring to everyday activity and movement.

Clare received a gift voucher for a gel manicure, courtesy of Wow Brows and a bouquet of flowers courtesy of Baglan Flower Shop in celebration.

It is my privilege to be Clare’s trainer and I am thrilled with her progress.  I can’t wait to see the continued progress in the months to come. Congratulations Clare, well deserved.
