‘I can now do more than before. I am eating much better than I did. When I started this challenge I would get out of breath going up and down the stairs, so I was surprised when I was on one of my walks and going up one of the hills I found out that I was not out of breath.’

“Amazing! A boot camp instructor who joins in. I like this. As the session unfolded it was evident that Mrs Kirby isn’t one of those Instructors who just stands and barks orders mercilessly. This lady practises what she preaches, getting down and dirty with the rest of us…. And when I say getting dirty, I really mean it… We are doing press ups, sit ups and burpies on the leaf littered floor, getting back to nature and recollecting memories of a muddy childhood; this session is so much fun.     Hi Krissie, my name is janine. I’m from Port Talbot. I’ve had a bit of a tough few months and just wondered if you would be able to work with me? I ruptured my L5 disc in January and have a central herniation on my S1 nerve. An operation isn’t an option but my surgeon has told me have to do extension exercises every 2 hours and no flexion until I’m stronger. No high impact exercises either….however I need to strengthen my core and pretty much everything else. I’m not confident enough to go to a gym as I’ve no idea where to start or what I’m doing. I don’t want to loose weight but to tone up and become stronger. I had an epidural 4 weeks ago to aid the nerve pain but it’s already creeping back. I’d appreciate it if you think u maybe able to help?? Thanks janine
